EV Technician
To oversee all diagnostics & perform all EV Repairs. To upskill other team members in diagnostics for ICE, PHEV and electric vehicles
Responsibilities and Duties
- To be responsible of all diagnostics for all vehicles & give instructions to technicians on repair procedures. Scope of diagnostics is Chassis, Powertrain, Body & Electrical.
To Perform complicated and advanced diagnostics on ICE and Electric/Hybrid vehicles in a timely manner
To perform all repairs and programming on ICE, Electric/Hybrid vehicles.
- To ensure that all tools, special tools, and diagnostic equipment are used and maintained correctly so that they remain in good working condition. Diagnostic equipment and dongles to be updated immediately.
- To communicate directly with Helpdesk to raise Technical Assistance (TA) to ensure that all measures are being taken to rectify any customer concerns and necessary repairs done in a timely manner.
- To load Product Quality Reports (EPQR) systematically on the manufacturer website.
- To coach other members in the team to gain required skills and increase their competency.
- Assist team members/other Technicians systematically where needed in complicated repairs.
- To give clear feedback to service Advisors and supervisor for important matters regarding delivery/technical issues and commitments.
- Meet and interact with specific difficult customers for technical explanations & joint test-drives to verify complaints. Build confidence in our customers based on our expertise.
- Attend calls from 24/7 breakdown team at any time/day to advise on complicated cases.
- To assist/advise Body & Paint colleagues on complex repairs and Electric/Hybrid vehicle repairs
To deputize for the Supervisor when he is not present and coordinate workshop activities

Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 5 years in automotive sector
- MITD Electric & electronic certification
- Subject to JLR certification
- Hybrid knowledge
- Computer literate
- Manual driving license
