Job overview
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Storekeeper who will be responsible to receive and process incoming stock and materials, goods verification and to ensure goods are properly stored within the warehouse.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor & update receipt calendar with the receiving officer & procurement team
- Communicate with warehouse staff on a regular basis to make them aware of priorities, targets, and operational exigencies
- Review and prepare workflow, manning, equipment layout, overtime/extra duty and action plans while ensuring productivity and quality standards are achieved.
- Work to satisfy internal and external clients, and deal with customer complaints at counter level as and when necessary.
- Ensure inventories are accurate and control inventory levels by ensuring physical counts are conducted and reconciled according to company policies and processes with the help of the warehouse team and Stock Controller team.
- Ensure the relevance and accuracy of all documentation relating to goods in and goods out including labeling of all stock items.
- Ensure that staff comply with health, safety and environmental regulations and work safely to protect themselves and others in the warehouse environment.
- Lead team to optimize performance and meet targets and deadlines.
- Enforce optimal operational policies and procedures
Requirements
You'll need to have:
- Minimum HSC. Familiarity with automotive dealership will be a strong advantage.
- At least 1 year of experience in similar position.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of warehouse management practices.
- Fluent in English and French.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Holder of a valid good vehicle license.
- Holder of a clean certificate of morality.
